GeoSavvy is an international development consulting company founded and managed by two partners. Together, they have over ten years experience in the tourism industry and have maintained a dedication to sustainable development initiatives. The partners each have particular talents in partnership negotiations and business development and operations and training, respectively.
GeoSavvy is a new company providing high-level expertise in international tourism trends and development strategies, value chain analysis, marketing and product development. GeoSavvy will initially focus on providing services for African countries, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa. As it grows it will take on people and consulting work in related markets, particularly in developing countries following global trends. It will also look for additional leverage by taking short-term projects, brokerage positions and representation positions to create percentage holdings in product results.
GeoSavvy has been appointed as the WHL representative for the continent of Africa which requires a similar set of GeoSavvy services including information communications technology (ICT) consulting and implementation in the tourism industry. WHL projects will likely dominate the company portfolio in the first few years of operation. WHL is the world's first sustainable tourism online booking portal and the first regionally based global booking system. Every other online booking system is centrally located in the developed world and has not had the ability to feature privately held properties in the developing world. WHL has developed a process that franchises the booking system to an operator located in the country or region of a country. WHL has the intention of becoming a mixture between Expedia of the developing world and Century 21 - an online booking franchisor for sustainable tourism.
